PLAN YOUR VISIT
We are looking forward to your visit. Before you come in, please make sure to have a list of questions you would like to ask the doctor, and let him know of any medicines you currently take and your family eye history. It is also good to bring your glasses and contact lenses along with the presciption.
It’s possible that when you visit the doctor might use eye drops to open up your pupils. The doctor is doing this to inspect your eyes for any vision problems or eye diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and cataracts. The dilated eye exam is a very important part of preventive eye care. The dilation eye exam can take up to 15-30 minutes to begin working. We recommend that patients plan to spend two hours if you are planning on getting a dilated eye exam.
